As part of the Planet Rock hip hop and social change film series, Black Lily presents “Say My Name,” a documentary directed by Nirit Peled, set in London, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. It tells the stories of female MC’s and R’n’B singers, and the women whom they inspire.
Black Lily Music Video Master Class
Black Lily presents a one-day master class with three emerging independent filmmakers—Tchaiko Omawale (New York/Los Angeles), Nzinga Kemp (Los Angeles), and Roni Nicole (Atlanta)—who will discuss their process and provide tips on breaking into the business, making quality work with low budgets, and the uniquely collaborative nature of directing music videos.
